Day 15 – Cameron, MO to HOME  387 Miles

Not much to say again except it was good to get home.

5200 miles, 2 very short runs in rain.  Never needed to stop to put rain gear on.

A few issues on the trip but overall a great ride.

Day 14 – Liberal, KS  to Cameron, MO   467 Miles

Not much to say but we were in Kansas.  The further east we went the greener it got.

Day 13 – Chama, NM to Liberal, KS  413 Miles

We left knowing this was to be the last miles of good twisties and they were.  Took advantage of the ability to accelerate several times passing the few cars that dared to slow up down.  After leaving the hills we again ran MANY miles of straight roads to get to our nights stay.  The temperatures were up to 108°.  It was not that bad riding as we had a tailing wind and were wearing cooling vests.  It still was HOT.

Day 12 – Page, AZ to Chama, NM  384 Miles

Lots of open land.

We went through Monument Valley and was able to see the “Forest Gump” shot when he quit runnin in the mirrors.

Did I say lots of open terrain, till we neared Chama.

A nice little town at the end of the line of the Chumbres – Toltec Narrow Gauge RR.

Stayed at the Chama Hotel and Shops.  Older Hotel being nicely upgraded.
